The tournament is back !!!
After many weeks questioning ourselves, the city, and other groups involved in the tournament, the committee organizing the Granby International Bantam Tournament announces that the 52e edition will take place in February 2022, with its usual international format.
The recent reliefs announced by the government lead us to believe the event can take place this winter, while respecting all current health rules in place and to come. Obviously, strict rules will be put in place for anyone wishing to attend the games face-to-face, as well as for travel inside the Léonard-Grondin Sports Center.
All players must be adequately vaccinated (vaccines recognized in Canada) by February 3, 2022, for all teams regardless of their origin. In order to be registered, an entire team (including instructors and team staff) must provide proof of vaccination for all of its members, so that it can be validated before their arrival in Granby.
In addition, the vaccination passport or vaccination proof must be presented by any spectator aged 13 and over at the Leonard-Grondin Sports Center, as well as at other sites used by the tournament if necessary. They must remain seated in their place and wear the face cover at all times, except when they eat or drink. No standing groupings will be permitted in the ice access areas.
It will be nice to see the young Bantam, or U15 now, show us their talents, their desire to win and their pleasure to participate in the Granby tournament. And we are happy to give them this opportunity again
